Islam will spread in all places

Researchers say that there are more than 4200 religions in the world and recent statistics illustrate that Islam is the fastest spreading among all religions in the world .Islam is spreading in all continents of the world, as the number of Muslims in 1997 in the six continents was: 780 million in Asia, 308 million in Africa, 32 million in Europe, 7 million in America and 385 thousand in Australia. Now they are about 1.57 billion Muslims, comprising about 21-23% of the world's population so this is the highest rate of growth in the world.

In 1900, number of Muslims all over the world was less than half the number of Christians but in 2025, the number of Muslims will become greater than the number of Christians because of the significant growth of Islamic religion.

Prophet Mohamed peace be upon him talked about an amazing prophetic miracle that Islam will spread in all parts of the earth, He peace be upon him says: (The Islam will spread in all places that have day and night){narrated by Ibn-hiban}. And this means that Islam will reach any area of land that has day and night and this is what really happened as nowadays there are Muslims all over the world.

Broadcast of 'anti-Pakistan' foreign news channels to be shut: Cable operators

The operators named BBC News as one of the channels to be closed down.
LAHORE: The All Pakistan Cable Operators Association declared Tuesday that they will shut down all foreign news channels airing “anti-Pakistan” content from tomorrow. The decision to shut the channels comes after a media uproar both locally and abroad following a Nato air strike that killed 24 Pakistani troops near the Afghan border.
During a media conference in Lahore, the operators named BBC News as one of the channels to be closed down, citing their documentary “Secret Pakistan” as one of the reasons for the decision.
The two part documentary series which aired in Pakistan explored accusations by CIA officials and western diplomats that Pakistan was failing to live up to its alliances in the war on terror.
President of the All Pakistan Cable Operators Association Khalid Arain also demanded that Pemra revoke the landing rights of any foreign news channel that was running “anti-Pakistan propaganda”.
“We want to send them a strong message to stop this. If they
don’t stop this, then it is our right to stop them,” Arain said.
The cable operators declared that no foreign anti-Pakistan channel will “ever” be broadcast in the country.
They called on local media to tackle the ongoing negative propaganda by foreign news channels by presenting Pakistan’s viewpoint.

Pakistan has developed smartest nuclear bombs: report

Islamabad: Pakistan has developed one of the world’s smartest nuclear bombs, Pakistani newspaper The News International reported on Wednesday.
Quoting diplomatic sources, The News said  country’s former military ruler General Pervez Musharraf, during one of his meetings with US officials, had deemed it proper to convey it to the Americans what Pakistan possessed and how the country’s nuclear scientists had secured the defence of Pakistan.
the paper says New Delhi also knows what Pakistan has produced and what is really unmatched. The Indians got and believed that Musharraf intentionally conveyed this to the Americans so that the country is not treated by the US like Afghanistan and Iraq Pakistan is neither a signatory to NPT nor CTBT, however, it has unilaterally decided to use its nuclear programme only as deterrence against any foreign aggression, the newspaper said.
According to the report Islamabad has developed one of the most credible and foolproof command and control systems for its nuclear programme. The US authorities have acknowledged the credibility and security of Pakistan’s nukes, it added.

Malala Yousufzai to be nominated for the International Children’s Peace Prize 2011.

SWAT:
Malala Yousufzai, 13, beat 93 contestants from 42 countries to be nominated for the International Children’s Peace Prize 2011. The class 8 student became the first Pakistani to be nominated for the prize, and if selected, she will be given the award by Nobel Peace Laureate Desmond Tutu.

The prize is presented to a child with exceptional capabilities whose remarkable acts and thoughts have made a difference in countering problems that affect children around the world. The prize was first launched at the Nobel Peace Laureates’ Summit 2005 and was initiated by the Dutch Organisation KidsRights.

The other four nominated for the award are: Liza (17) from Palestine, Michaela (17) from South Africa, Nikolay (17) from Armenia and Winfred (14) from Uganda. One of the five nominees will be rewarded with the prize on November 21 (today) and will become the seventh child to get the prize.

Malala’s was nominated because she alone raised her voice for girls’ education during the mayhem in Swat, in which girls were not only banned from attaining schools and colleges, but their schools were destroyed as well. She successfully used national and international media to let the world know about violations of their rights. She fought bravely for girls’ rights in the militancy-hit Swat, focusing on their right to education.

Desmond Tutu, in a press release announcing the nominees, stated, “The five nominated children are very brave since they are fighting for children’s rights in their country every day, sometimes even in dangerous situations. Children are the future, but often they are not heard, the Children’s Peace Prize gives a voice to these unheard voices.”

Malala said, “I am very happy to be nominated along with four other great girls. I am particularly inspired by Michaela who, despite her physical disability, fights for the rights of children with disabilities.”

She added that her nomination in the top five has “doubled her courage” as her cause is of great importance, “Irrespective of whether I win the prize I will continue my struggle. I hope to set up a vocational institute for the marginalised girls of this area so they can stand on their feet in the future.”

When asked why she started her campaign for girls’ rights, she said that the mayhem in Swat had “a huge impact on my mind”.

“I could not stand such exploitations; I started my campaign with the help of media and forums, which, with the help of God, was successfully completed.” Malala said she wanted the rest of the world to stop terming the people of Swat as terrorists as they were very peaceful and loving people.

Malala credited her father Ziauddin Yousufzai and her teachers for supporting her in her cause.

Pakistan, Sri Lanka qualify for ICC Women World Cup 2013

Dhaka,  Pakistan and Sri Lanka Tuesday won their vital cross-over matches in International Cricket Council ICC Women’s World Cup Qualifier 2011 WWCQ in Dhaka, Bangladesh and by virtue of doing so have qualified for the ICC Women’s World Cup 2013.
Pakistan Women Cricket Team during Training Session - Reuters File
The two sides will join West Indies & South Africa at the event in 2013 which also features current world champions England, along with Australia, India & New Zealand. Pakistan & South Africa also qualified for ICC Women’s World Twenty20 Sri Lanka 2012 by finishing in top four of event. West Indies & Sri Lanka are already qualified for the tournament which will be played in September next year.
Bangladesh & Netherlands will now head to play-offs for ODI status. Hosts will face USA in a bid to gain ODI recognition while The Netherlands will play fellow European ODI side Ireland in a bid to retain ODI status – win or lose, Europe will finish this event with only one ODI women’s side. In ninth/10th play-off, Japan defeated Zimbabwe by six runs in a high scoring match at BKSP 2, securing Ema Kuribayashi’s side ninth place in ICC WWCQ 2011 and its only win of the tournament.
At Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium, watched by another fantastic crowd of local support, Sri Lanka took to the field as Bangladesh elected to bat first under bright sunshine. Of most recent meetings between two sides, five in total, Sri Lanka have come out on top all five times and today looked to be no different in showdown between two sides. Sri Lanka’s opening bowler Udeshika Prabhodani had hosts reeling at 13 for three, with departure of key players Ayesha Akhter, Fargana Pinky & Suktara Rahaman.
It was then up to Salma Khatun to lead with captain striking 32 before she was caught by Sherina Ravikumar. Things didn’t get much better for hosts as they managed to make just 100 in less than 50 overs as once again Lanka bowlers continued to hit target.
In reply, Dilani Manodara’s side stumbled in beginning and struggled to secure runs thanks to some tight bowling by hosts. Yashoda Mendis departed early but Inoka Galagedara & Sandamali Dolawatte ensured runs were on board and after their departure it was up to Shashikala Siriwardene to hit side’s winning runs and secure ICC Women’s World Cup qualification for 2013.
At Khanshaheb Osman Ali Stadium (KSOAS), Sana Mir’s Pakistan made sure runs went on the board to make it a tough task for Helmien Rambaldo’s side when it came to chasing down the target. Dutch were set a mammoth total of 278 after Sana, along with Bismah Maroof, Nida Dar & Javeria Wadood piled on runs for Pakistan to help on their way to qualification for ICC Women’s World Cup 2013.
Javeria’s 67 along with Nida’s half-century were helped by in-form all-rounder Bismah who finished game 66 not out as side displayed some masterstrokes against Dutch pace and spin attack. In reply, The Netherlands were once again undone by spin, with Bismah & Nida combining to take three wickets each while Sadia Yousuf claimed two wickets. Qanita Jalil’s pace took  early wickets of Rambaldo & Miranda Veringmeier. Dutch batting line-up collapsed for 84, with only Denise Hannema & Kerry Anne Tomlinson managing double figures.
In final fixture of day, Japan took on Zimbabwe in 9th/10th play-off at BKSP 2. Neither side had secured a win in tournament ahead of fixture today but it was Japan’s chance with Kuribayashi’s side finishing victors over their African opponents in a tight contest.
Having won toss, Sharne Mayers elected to field first for Zimbabweans and side’s bowling attack took its time to get going, with Japan not losing its first wicket till it had posted 42 runs on board after Mariko Yamamoto made a patient 38. However, Yamamoto departed after she was bowled by Sinikwe Mpofu. Kuribayashi took 98 balls to reach 47, her highest score of tournament. Zimbabwe’s bowlers did a good job with Japan’s lower order, dismissing last five wickets for 27 runs but not before Japan had posted its highest total of the tournament, 153.
In reply, Zimbabwe’s batters were undone by quickness of Japanese and good bowling from Kuribayashi. Captain took one wicket but also caught both Christabel Chatonzwa & Privilledge Charumbira and ran out her counterpart Mayers. Yamamoto also showed her agility by snaffling key middle-order batter Nonhlanhla Nyathi caught and bowled.
As was case against USA, Zimbabwe fell short of its target, although in this case by six runs and succumbed to fifth and final loss in event. Audrey Mazvishaya & Sarah Dambanevana were well placed to score remaining runs but side ran out of overs after losing key wickets early on and victory was there for Japan.
Tomorrow is a rest day, with play resuming on Thursday. Fixtures: Nov. 24
ODI – South Africa v Pakistan (Winner to 1st/2nd play-off, loser to 3rd/4th play-off) – SBNCS
ODI – West Indies v Sri Lanka (Winner to 1st/2nd play-off, loser to 3rd/4th play-off) – KSOAS

Warid Restarts SMS Delivery Reports [for Free]

image001 thumb Warid Restarts SMS Delivery Reports [for Free]Warid customers reported last Wednesday that they have been receiving delivery reports for SMS messages, a feature that was previously switched-off. However, company didn’t confirm us then about the service or any of its associated charges.
But today, we have got this confirmation that Warid is restarting SMS delivery reports for it’s customers and that too for free (at least for now).
It won’t be out of place to mention that SMS delivery reports offer users an instant notification of the SMS message being delivered to the recipient, adding reliability and dependability in communication.
SMS delivery reports were once free for all operators. However, all of them stopped offering the service back in 2009 in order to balance the load on network.
Currently almost all operators offer SMS delivery reports to their customers as a paid service.
How to subscribe to SMS Delivery Reports?

The SMS Delivery Report Service is available to all subscribers by default. However, the subscriber needs to ensure that they have this feature enabled in their mobile handset.

Price:
The service is currently being promoted free-of-cost, but we know for a fact that service will be charged in future.

Original Source of SMS Ban Lists Revealed

The whole world has ridiculed the list of over 1,500 banned keywords that was allegedly prepared by Pakistan Telecommunication Authority, to be filtered by mobile phone companies for SMS communication before it got leaked last week.
PTA hasn’t denied the list so far, so we are assuming that the list was indeed issued by the authority for SMS filtration.
ProPakistani has now got hands over the original source of English and Urdu lists, which were apparently copied as they were to produce this list of banned keywords to be sent out to operators for the filtration.
Before we go into details here are lists of banned keywords issued by PTA:

Mobile Companies to Filter SMS Content

Pakistan Telecommunication Authority is reportedly working on a mechanism under which mobile phone operators will filter SMS content for black listed keywords to make sure that SMS messages with bad language aren’t delivered to (intended or un-intended) mobile phone users, told us sources at PTA headquarters.
Though the information we have got is of preliminary nature but we can confirm that a list of almost 1,500 keywords (from both Urdu and English language) has been prepared and sent out to telecom companies to be filtered for any communication over SMS.
For the purpose a letter titled: “Implementation – Content Filtering through SMS” is reportedly on it’s way for telecom companies.
From what it looks like, each and every SMS message will be filtered by mobile companies and will be delivered to other party only if it passes the filter list.

EU bans 'naked' airport security scanners over cancer fears

Controversial ‘naked’ body scanners, already in use at Manchester Airport, could be withdrawn after EU chiefs warned that they could pose a health risk due to the radiation they emit.
The £80,000 security scanners, introduced to detect suspicious items hidden on passengers, have already been criticised as an invasion of privacy due to the apparent ‘naked’ image that they produce of travellers.
But the new information from the European Commission raises fears that the radiation from the machines could cause long-term health damage such as cancer.
Airport scanner
Going through: The scanners are used widely in the U.S. and at Manchester Airport in the UK, where the machines were trialled
The EC has halted all new trials of the machines while a safety report is compiled. A final decision about rolling out the scanners across Britain and the Continent will be made next year.

Toads can 'predict earthquakes'

Toads can 'predict earthquakes' and seismic activity

Common toads appear to be able to sense an impending earthquake and will flee their colony days before the seismic activity strikes.
The evidence comes from a population of toads which left their breeding colony three days before an earthquake that struck L'Aquila in Italy in 2009.
How toads sensed the quake is unclear, but most breeding pairs and males fled.
They reacted despite the colony being 74km from the quake's epicentre, say biologists in the Journal of Zoology.
It is hard to objectively and quantifiably study how animals respond to seismic activity, in part because earthquakes are rare and unpredictable.
Some studies have been done on how domestic animals respond, but measuring the response of wild animals is more difficult.

Even those that have been shown to react, such as fish, rodents and snakes tend to do so shortly before an earthquakes strikes, rather than days ahead of the event.
However, biologist Dr Rachel Grant of the Open University, in Milton Keynes, UK, was routinely studying the behaviour of various colonies of common toads on a daily basis in Italy around the time a massive earthquake struck.
Her studies included a 29-day period gathering data before, during and after the earthquake that hit Italy on 6 April 2009.
The quake, a 6.3-magnitude event, struck close to L'Aquila city, about 95km (60 miles) north-east of Rome.
Dr Grant was studying toads 74km away in San Ruffino Lake in central Italy, when she recorded the toads behaving oddly.
Five days before the earthquake, the number of male common toads in the breeding colony fell by 96%.

AMPHIBIAN PHENOMENA

That is highly unusual for male toads: once they have bred, they normally remain active in large numbers at breeding sites until spawning has finished.
Yet spawning had barely begun at the San Ruffino Lake site before the earthquake struck.
Also, no weather event could be linked to the toads' disappearance.
Three days before the earthquake, the number of breeding pairs also suddenly dropped to zero.
While spawn was found at the site up to six days before the earthquake, and again six days after it, no spawn was laid during the so-called earthquake period - the time from the first main shock to the last aftershock.
"Our study is one of the first to document animal behaviour before, during and after an earthquake," says Dr Grant.
She believes the toads fled to higher ground, possibly where they would be at less risk from rock falls, landslides and flooding.
Sensing danger
Exactly how the toads sense impending seismic activity is unclear.
The shift in the toads' behaviour coincided with disruptions in the ionosphere, the uppermost electromagnetic layer of the earth's atmosphere, which researchers detected around the time of the L'Aquila quake using a technique known as very low frequency (VLF) radio sounding.

ITALIAN EARTHQUAKE

Such changes to the atmosphere have in turn been linked by some scientists to the release of radon gas, or gravity waves, prior to an earthquake.
In the case of the L'Aquila quake, Dr Grant could not determine what caused the disruptions in the ionosphere.
However, her findings do suggest that the toads can detect something.
"Our findings suggest that toads are able to detect pre-seismic cues such as the release of gases and charged particles, and use these as a form of earthquake early warning system," she says.
Ants ignore quakes
One other study has quantified an animal's response to a major earthquake.
Researchers had the serendipitous opportunity to measure how the behaviour of the desert harvester ant (Messor pergandei) changed as the ground began to tremble in the Mojave Desert, California, on 28 June 1992.
The largest quake to hit the US in four decades struck during the middle of an ongoing study, which measured how many ants walked the trails to and from the colony, the distributions of worker ants and even how much carbon dioxide the ants produced.
However, in response to that 7.4 magnitude quake, the ants did not appear to alter their behaviour at all.
